Daniel Jopseph is a disciple of Daskalos, having spent many years with the Teacher, has taken these teachings to the United States and around the world along with. Dr. Stylianos Atteshlis (Στυλιανός Αττεσλής, known as Daskalos) (1912–1995) was a Christian mystic and healer who was born on December 12, 1912 in Cyprus where he spent most of his life. He was a mystic from Strovolos, Cyprus.
Swimming with the Whale opens with the discovery of a seven year old Self-Realized boy-sage having not done his homework assignment for school on a faraway Greek island in 1919. The school principal and professors soon realized this was no ordinary child and begin to test him in advanced mathematics and university level subjects. And always he was giving them perfectly correct answers. At this same time, the young boy was able to perform a complete cure on a badly injured child right before their eyes. So impressed with his amazing abilities, these learned men assembled a group of about 30 like-minded individuals and asked the young boy to teach them his advanced knowledge. And so the young Daskalos started publicly teaching to his first circle for the Researcher of Truth at the age of seven. And he never stopped sharing these potent teachings and facilitating remarkable healings for over 70 years. By the time of his passing in 1995, Daskalos had founded over 100 circles worldwide for the Research of truth. The chapter finishes with the same Seven Promises of a Research of Truth first given by this diminutive master to these well-educated men and women.
IN THE LIGHT OF TRUTH
When we make the effort to find a greater measure of truth we are transformed by it. When this happens we can rightly say: “I am in the light of truth.” Now we feel the light of truth is shining on us; we bask in it, savoring its harmony and beauty. When we find such a clear stream of truth it is natural to want to follow it to its source, to know greater and greater measures of this truth. “Know the truth and the truth will set you free.” This gentle persuasion urges us to experience the truth for ourselves. It does not suggest that we blindly follow what others say the truth is. It advises us to make our own effort to know truth directly.
Finding truth and comprehending it intellectually is one thing, but to really know the truth means to understand it experientially beyond ordinary, limited thinking. To penetrate deep into truth, to grasp real meaning, requires: Introspection, Observation and Meditation. These are the prime tools of the Researcher of Truth, which leads deeper and deeper into the light of truth.
Swimming With The Whale is a spiritually uplifting journey into the mystical teachings and practices of Daskalos and the Researchers of Truth; which are important both in terms of what is being revealed; as well as the exact timing of world conditions in which it was chosen to be revealed. You won’t find this kind of all-inclusive information in spiritual books commonly available today. For over 2000 years, these teachings have mostly been kept hidden from the public, but at this time it is permitted to reveal more.
About The Author
Daniel Joseph is a lifelong seeker of truth. His spiritual search began with a roar of awakening in college, which launched him on a twenty year study of eastern and western teachings taking him to the far corners of the Earth. Daniel was always searching internally and externally for that, which would unlock the deepest mysteries hidden in all the authentic spiritual systems.
Two decades of searching produced a wonderful collection of extraordinary inner experiences, great spiritual adventures and meetings with truly remarkable beings. But still, his search for pearls of spiritual wisdom continued. Until one day without cost, or much effort on his part, Daniel found himself on the Mediterranean Island of Cyprus standing on the doorsteps of Dr. Stylianos Atteshlis (also known as Daskalos, the Cypriot Master of Strovolos) who showed him one “pearl of great value.” And Daniel became like the man in the parable that says: “The kingdom of heaven is like unto a man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.”
With great love and wisdom, Daskalos offered the long-ago promised “Keys to the Kingdom of the Heavens” and trained Daniel how to use them. From that point on, his search for truth changed to the research of truth. And for over two decades Daniel has continued an ever increasing conscious engagement in this research and in sharing the great body of work of Daskalos and the Researchers of Truth.
